Default case

A default case applies to all your items. It's your safety net: even without any specific configuration, every favourite still gets a message.

Specific cases by brand or category

This is where it gets powerful. You create specific cases to tailor your message by brand, category, account or platform.

A concrete comparison:

  • Generic message: "Thanks for favouriting my item, feel free to ask if you have any questions" — it works, but it's average
  • Personalised Ralph Lauren message: "On Ralph Lauren items, I'm happy to offer 20% off" — far more likely to get a reply, far more conversions

Send a message, an offer, or both

For each case, you choose exactly what you send:

Sequence your messages

You're not limited to a single send. You can chain messages with delays in between:

  1. First message: sent immediately when the item is favourited
  2. Wait X hours (e.g. 6 hours)
  3. Second message: a follow-up with a more aggressive offer or a different tone

This sequence helps you maximise your chances of converting without being intrusive.

Tracking in your inbox

Every message sent to favourites lands in your centralised inbox. Each automatic message is identifiable by the small ControlResell logo. Just like on WhatsApp, you can see:

  • When the message left ControlResell
  • When the message arrived on the platform (Vinted, eBay, etc.)

If the buyer replies, the conversation continues as normal in your inbox.
